Jonathan Durbin is a New York City–based writer. His fiction has appeared in Tin House, One Story, New England Review, Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading and Catapult, among others. His nonfiction has been published in the Village Voice, Travel + Leisure, Esquire, Interview, Paper and elsewhere. He was named a 2019 Emerging Writer Fellow at the Center for Fiction, and has been awarded residencies at The Ragdale Foundation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and The Hambidge Center. He is a former fellow of the Writers’ Institute at the Graduate Center at CUNY, an alumnus of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and is currently at work on a novel and collection of short stories.
